Valona Hiili is a floor lamp handmade from Finnish wood, its surface finished with fire. Charring deepens the grain and leaves a matt black, living surface where every crack and groove stands out. A slender metal rod rising from the slate base lifts the dark wood into the air, so the lamp seems almost to float. Valona Hiili is a sculptural eye-catcher that brings calm dignity to a living room, bedroom or workspace.

Installation and Operating Instructions
The floor lamp plugs straight into a wall socket and needs no electrical installation. It has a built-in dimmer for adjusting the brightness and switching the lamp on and off.
Place the lamp on a level, stable surface so that it cannot tip over. Route the cable so that it is not in a walkway or pinched under furniture.
The light is intended for dry indoor spaces, so it is not suitable for bathrooms, saunas or outdoor use. Do not cover the light. Unplug it before cleaning and wipe it with a dry, soft cloth.
Cracks, knots and variations in tone are natural in charred wood and make every light one of a kind.
Full instructions are supplied with the light.
